Established in 1979, Exactatherm is one of North America's leading companies for vacuum heat treatment processing of metals used primarily by the Aerospace, Automotive, Mould and Tool & Die Industries.

Dr. Peter Lidster was first to introduce a variety of advanced thermal processes to the Canadian Metal Working Industry. These include Ionitriding, Vacuum Oil Quench hardening and cryogenic treatment. In 1996 Exactatherm built an Advanced Coating Centre at its Mississauga facility and now offers P.V.D. and C.V.D. hard coatings. Under Peter's leadership a highly innovative and experienced team has been developed.

Service and Capacity is provided at three plants in the Greater Toronto Area and a regular pick-up & delivery is available for an increasing number of customers. With state of the art technology and equipment, the combined capacity for ionitriding and stress relieving rates as one of the highest in North America. The capacity for heat treatment of tool steels is exceeded by very few. Quality Assurance is of paramount importance at Exactatherm, an ISO 9002-94 & SAE AS 9000 registered company that continues to build a national reputation for quality and service among its large customer base. Certified heat treatment services are performed for a diversified group of loyal customers from the Aerospace, Automotive, Defence and Nuclear Industry that have contributed to much of Exactatherm's ongoing growth.

A Quality Control Laboratory is located at the head office in Mississauga and the Quality Control Manual is available for inspection through the Q.A. Manager. All testing equipment and procedures are in compliance with modern national standards; each piece of testing equipment is checked and serviced every three months by an external source to maintain accurate calibration standards.

Strategic Alliances with O.E.M.'s & Universities are supported to co-develop advanced thermal processes. A strong research and development thrust has been the hallmark at Exactatherm since its inception.

Corporate Strength is afforded to Exactatherm as part of the Exacta Group of companies involved in manufacturing, distribution and heat treatment of metal parts with locations in Mississauga, Scarborough, Guelph and Tennessee.
